ADULT CONFIRMATION
For those over 18 years old… You must be baptized and should have received your First Communion and Reconciliation. Adult Confirmation classes are offered once per year.
Classes will begin in January 2022 for ten(non-consecutive) weeks. They are from 7-9 pm on Thursdays in our Parish Center.
Candidates will be confirmed with our youth confirmation students in April/May 2022. The exact dates of sessions and Confirmation will be posted here when they are determined.

YOUTH CONFIRMATION
The Youth Confirmation preparation process normally takes two years to complete. Each “year” begins in September and runs through the following June. Upon completion of the process requirements and approval of the Youth Ministry Coordinator/Pastor, the candidate is confirmed here at St. Bernardine by the Bishop at the
scheduled date in April/May of the second year. To be eligible to participate in the process, you must be baptized and be at least a freshman in high school and willing to actively participate in Youth Ministry, and regularly and consistently participate in liturgy, prayer, and service within St. Bernardine Parish. The operative
work is “Participation”. We encourage and welcome participation as a "Pilgrim" searching for truth and meaning and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as we continue our faith journey together. "Tourists" who are looking for minimum participation and want to have their "Confirmation Box" checked are discouraged. The following is considered Minimum participation in the life of St. Bernardine community for the
purposes of Confirmation:
• Pray daily, hopefully together as a family.
• Keep Holy the Lord’s Day - Participate in Sunday Mass
EVERY Sunday!
• Attend all “Sunday Confirmation Sessions” which take place on specified Sundays.
• Perform 20 hours of parish/community service as scheduled.
• Participate once each month as an Altar Server, a Cross Bearer, an Usher/ Greeter, or a musician/choir member at Sunday Mass at St. Bernardine for two years.
• Participation in at least 10 Wednesday Nite Youth Sessions per year. Wednesday Nite sessions are scheduled throughout the year.
• Participate in the Confirmation overnight retreat.
• $150 confirmation fee due at signup and $225 Retreat fee due at the time of retreat (Each year)
The year one Retreat takes place in early November, and the Year Two retreat occurs in April /May.
