Faith Formation (Grades 1-6) & (7-8)

Dear Families,

Welcome to those who are new to St. Bernardine Faith Formation and welcome back returning families.  In these difficult times, our relationship with the Lord needs to be fostered and nourished.  We are happy to provide any help and support we can.

For the health and safety of children and families, all Faith Formation classes will be taught with materials provided for you at home.  Every Tuesday, afternoon catechists will meet with their classes virtually to review the chapter covered by the family.  This distance learning to enhance your lessons at home will continue until further notice at which time sessions will be held at St. Bernardine Parish.

  • Home materials for Faith Formation for children Grades 1-6 will be provided until January 2021 or until it is safe to return to the classroom.
  • Materials provided will help parents teach what Catholics believe, how we worship, how we live, and how we pray.
  • Catechists will provide virtual assistance on Tuesdays.
  • Preparations for the first sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist will be provided.
  • Virtual classes are being provided for children who attend public or private (non-Catholic) schools.
  • Courses include a class on "Empowering God's Children" Safety session on abuse prevention.
