Parenteen

Mission Statement
The mission of the paren†een program is to bring parents and teens closer to Christ and one another. More specifically, the paren†een program seeks:

  • To strengthen connections between parents and teens
  • To help parents and teens journey together spiritually, especially during the period of preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation
  • To support dialogue between parents and teens about today’s teen culture, both its positive and negative aspects.

Pareneen nights
Paren†een nights are generally held on the second Sunday of each month (please see the Youth Ministry Calendar for specific dates and topics) beginning at 6:30 p.m. (after the 5:30 p.m. Youth Mass) with a potluck dinner.  If you plan to come, please bring a main course, salad, or dessert of aprx. 3-5 servings (we’ll provide the drinks and tableware).  Food can be dropped off at the parish kitchen between 4:45 and 5:15 p.m. or brought with you at 6:30 p.m. These nights are open to youth ages 13-18 (not intended for college students) and their parents (these nights are for youth and parent, please do not send a youth to attend on their own).

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
