Liturgical Ministries

Eucharistic Ministers
Assist priests and deacons in the administration of Holy Communion during the Mass. It is the ministry of bringing the sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ to the People of God, witnessing to faith in the real presence of Christ in the action of sharing in the Eucharistic meal of Christ’s sacrifice. You must be a Confirmed Catholic to serve in this ministry. Contact Bob Nicholas at (818) 346-8244 for more information.

Lectors
Proclaim the scripture at liturgies. Lectors should have strong speaking voices and a special love for scripture. As a lector, you will attend a preparation session each weekend you are serving. Preparation takes place from 9:30-10:30 on Saturday mornings in the church. You may choose to lector only at the 5:30 PM Mass, or request to be included in the lector schedule for all the Masses. If you are interested in being a lector at the 5:30 PM Youth Mass, contact Andrew Gafvert at (818) 710-1662. For all other Masses, contact Jack Maranto.

Usher/Greeters
As an Usher/Greeter, your responsibilities include saying ‘hello’ to parishioners as they enter the church, helping those who need your assistance in finding a seat, (You set a tone of warmth and welcome!) assisting with the collection and presentation of gifts and the direction of the congregation during communion and distributing bulletins to the congregation as they leave the church. If you are interested in being an usher/greeter at the 5:30 PM Youth Mass, contact Andrew Gafvert at (818) 710-1662.

Shantigarh (5:30 PM Mass Choir) 
Share your gift of music with the 5:30 congregation! Shantigarh needs young men and women who love to sing and/or play an instrument to lead the congregation in beautiful music. Shantigarh rehearses on Saturdays from 11am–1pm and on Sundays from 3:30pm until the 5:30 PM Youth Mass. If you are interested in joining Shantigarh, please contact John Bonaduce at (818) 667-9584.

Crossbearers
Crossbearers carry the cross in the processions, presentation of the gifts, and recession at Mass. If you would like to become a crossbearer for any of the Masses, please contact Ana Porcellino at (818) 884-3981.

Altar Servers
Altar servers assist the minister with various responsibilities throughout the Mass. Contact Maria Giammatteo at (818) 615-0640 for more information. Please be prepared to commit to at least a year of service.
