Religious Education Program

Faith Formation for Grades 1 through 6
 As a faith community at St. Bernardine of Siena, we are committed to the religious education of our children. With this in mind, we offer Religious Education classes to our students in Grades 1 through 6. The children are instructed in the basic tenets of our faith including what Catholics believe, how we worship, how we live, and how we pray. The children are prepared for the first sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Sessions Offered
Tuesday 4:00 to 5:30 pm Grades 1 through 5, September 23, 2008
Wednesday 4:00 to 5:30 pm Grades 1 through 6, September 24, 2008
There is no school on:  November 25 & 26, Thanksgiving; December 15 to January 6, Christmas; April 7-15, Easter.  Last class is May 5 & 6.

Registration
Download the registration form print, complete and return the form to the Religious Education Director in the Parish Office by August 22.  Early registration will ensure your choice of day and class availability.  Change of day cannot be made during the year.  New students must include a copy of they baptismal certificate.  First Sacrament preparation is a two-year program.

Volunteers
Religious Education is dependent on faith-filled, fun-loving adults who enjoy working with children to help as team catechists (teachers), classroom assistants, office helpers, and helpers with music, crafts and child care for catechists’ children.
