April 2012
Dear Parents,
I can’t believe spring is
already here! As the flowers blossom, so do our children. We’ve seen our
children grow in so many ways and look forward to many more changes in their
future. We’re beginning to look forward to the end of the school year,
graduation, and summer.
As spring begins, we will
be seeing what a beautiful world God has given us. Spring is such a nice time
as trees and plants begin to bloom. Spring also is the time when Jesus Christ
died on the cross and rose again for all of us. The children will be learning
about the true meaning of Easter. There is no school or daycare on Friday,
April 6 for Good Friday. Spring break will be the week of April 9th.
However, we are hoping to open for daycare that week.
I would also like to thank
everyone who signed up for our St. Patrick Day and Grandparent’s Day
celebrations. The children really enjoyed themselves and especially their
visits from the Leprechauns and Grandparents (or special person).
In the month of April, we
will be offering free screenings for Hearing, Speech, and Vision. Hearing
screenings will be conducted on April 3rd & 4th. Speech
screenings will take place on April 25th. Finally, vision
screenings will take place at the end of the month on April 30th
and May 2nd. We are very fortunate to work with several
specialists and institutes offering these free screenings. If interested,
please make sure to turn in your permission slips to the office.
This month along with
Easter we will be celebrating Earth Day (Week). We will be learning about the
beautiful earth God has given us and how to take care of it. We will have many
fun activities planned for the week, including planting beautiful flowers.
In His Service,
Charlene
